Dear Owls

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well?  The sun has made an appearance again so let's hope it stays sunny for the weekend.

I don’t mind at all what order you do today’s activities, whatever suits you.

Daily activities

Start by warming our maths brains up!  Can you find a teddy and place in different positions and use your positional language to describe where your teddy is?  E.g under the table, on the chair, to the left on the door.

YR: I would like you watch Week 3 Day 4 lesson Hungry Caterpillar on White Rose Maths and try to carry out some of the activities.

Y1:  I would like you to watch the Week 3 Day 4 lesson for Year 1: Add by counting on.

Both can be accessed from the school website.

Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

Letters and Sounds

We hope you enjoyed the lesson yesterday.  Use the link

Owls , Paddington has been ever so impressed with the handwriting he has seen and he has been busy writing replies so you should hear from him soon.  Let me know when you do.  Last week I asked you to practise all your tortoise letters; this week I would like you to have a go at writing your monkey letters.  Watch the length of the tails, sometimes I make my tails a little too long!

Monkey Letters: f,g,j,p,q,y.

Physical Development

Owls, I wanted us to have a go at doing some spring related yoga.  Please go to www.shineyogauk and search for spring yoga sequence.  I think it is really good.  Have a go, see what you think.

End your yoga session with some breathing and have a moment to be still and silent and think about something that makes you feel happy!

Sparkle Time

Please listen to me reading Paddington and the Tutti Frutti Rainbow  Paddington’s day doesn’t really start as he planned but he has a lovely treat at the end.  Can you chat with your family about a time when maybe your day didn’t go to plan but turned out alright in the end? Feel free to let me know your experience.  Sometimes things don’t go to plan but it’s important to try and see the positive in everything.  I would also like you to have a go at drawing your own tutti frutti sundae with your favourite flavours of ice cream.

Something Interesting

Go to for some lovely free downloadables.  I particularly like the A-Z mini menagerie book.

What are you like at tidying your bedroom?  My eldest son is great but the other two are not so good.

Any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.  I am thinking of you all and can’t wait to see you soon.  Will be sending some activities tomorrow for Friday that you may want to do.

Much Love

Miss Angel
