Hi everyone. It has been really lovely to speak to some of you today and I will be calling more of you tomorrow. Thank you for the emails with photographs of your learning, it certainly makes me smile.
I don’t mind at all what order you do today’s activities, whatever suits you.
Start by warming our maths brains up! Today can you name as many 3D shapes as possible as quickly as you can? Did you forget any? We were working hard on shapes like sphere, cube, cuboid, cone and pyramid and we were beginning to count sides/faces.
YR: I would like you watch Week 1 Day 5 lesson 'Night Pirates' on White Rose Maths and try to carry out some of the activities.
Y1: I would like you to have a go at the Week 1 Day 5 lesson for Year 1: Challenge - the most suitable questions are numbers 1 and 2.
Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

Owls, Paddington is settling in well, some would say a little too well! Please see the photos. Paddington has been very impressed with your writing so far. Well done Owls. I have been talking to him about how we group our letters into three groups - tortoise, monkey and giraffe. He thinks it's a clever way of doing it and he is going to practise later. Today I would like you to show him how to write all your tortoise letters - letters that like to stay down low. c, o, a, i, n, m, u, v, w, x, z, s. I know it’s a lot but I think you are all up for the challenge.
I am thinking this may be an indoor activity today judging by the weather being so miserable and windy! Please see activity below.
