Hi Hedgehog Class,

I hope you enjoyed making your medals, I loved seeing some photos and I hope some of you are planning to celebrate VE day on Friday at home! I am glad the sun is shining again for us and I hope you have managed to get outside and make the most of it. Here is your plan for Thursday:

Phonics: Using the link https://bit.ly/34KsiFS

Watch the episode live at 1030am.

Whole Class Reading:
Find attached the comprehension sheet 'A helicopter tour of London' I would like the children to read this and answer the questions (I expect many of the children to have a go at reading aloud independently, but you know your children so do help with words if needed or read to them if you think it is too challenging).

Maths: -Can all of you complete year one week 3 lesson 4 (add more and count on within 20)  https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/ -Year two, if you want to challenge yourselves by completing week 3 lesson 4 (add and subtract ones) https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/ Grown-ups you will know which tasks are appropriate for your child, but it is good revision for all children to complete the year one activity. -Please also complete your 'x a day' on Doodle Maths.

Computing:
Our final lesson on algorithms and following instructions. Please find attached the lesson plan to support you with this.

Daily Reminders: - have regular fruit and water breaks and try to keep to some kind of routine - complete your home diary (if you can, photos would be lovely) - read a book to your grown up - start the day with some exercise to get your mind and body moving - always be kind.

Enjoy your day!

Miss Wheeler
