Hello Hedgehog Class,

Hope you enjoyed your learning today and continue to work hard for your grown ups.
Thursday's plan is as follows, remember you can complete this in any order but do try your best to do everything:

I have attached a Common Exception Word mat - please choose 5 words from this and ask your child to spell them. Next we are going to look at the final sound in the 'ay' family which is split digraph 'a_e'. Remember to always look for that magic ‘e’ when looking for split digraphs. The sound is usually in the middle of words when you are sounding them out. Spell a selection of words containing the sound and add dots and dashes; cake, shake, date, sale, save, shave, awake, plane. Write the sentence; Gail made a fake cake. Whole Class Reading: We are going to start our Whole Class Reading with the book 'Paddington's Post' (you will remember I emailed you about this last week). Please follow the link to listen to me read a part of the story and then get your child to answer the questions which are attached - they can do this on the sheet when printed, or directly into their books. Please support your child in making sure that they answer these questions in full sentences and not just words. This process should be fairly familiar to them as we do it 2x weekly in school, however having not been in school a while they will need some reminding. https://youtu.be/UOns1-3QrFk
