Hi Hedgehogs,

I hope your day has been productive and you enjoyed all your home learning. I am glad the sunshine is making an appearance again as it makes everyone feel better. I can't believe we only have one week left of our topic 'Paddington Bear goes to London'. Mrs Payne and I were discussing what super learning you have done for this topic and how we hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have.

Please complete the following phonics session in your home learning books.
Phase 5 Mastery L3 ie
Can I remind the grown-ups that although they talk about handwriting and letter formation, remember we use cursive script at High Littleton, so you may need to just remind them to add the 'lead in' or 'flick' to the letters.

Whole Class Reading:

Please follow the link below to listen to me read  a short clip from our story Paddington's Post. I have also attached your questions for you to answer and a picture of the map from the story which will help you. Remember to encourage your child to answer in full sentences. We will hopefully finish this book across two more sessions next week.

Can you all please complete the Friday Maths Challenge on White Rose Maths ... https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/ -I have also set you an added extra on Doodle Maths.

-Please also complete your 'x a day' on Doodle Maths.

Friday afternoon means that it is Golden Time. Have you worked hard and followed the golden rules at home? Please enjoy an afternoon doing something of your choice. Will it be something creative? I wonder what your favourite toys and games are at home. Get outside if you can safely. Ride your bike or go for a walk.

Daily Reminders:

- have regular fruit and water breaks and try to keep to some kind of routine

- complete your home diary

- read a book to your grown up

- start the day with some exercise to get your mind and body moving

- always be kind

Have a good day and stay safe!

Miss Wheeler
