Hi Hedgehog Class,

Hope you enjoyed your Big Write today and I loved reading some of them that you sent to me and I am so pleased with how hard you are all working. You are all still 100% on target for Doodle Maths too which is fantastic! Did you manage to get out and enjoy some sunshine today?

Daily routine reminders:

- Do some form of exercise today; get out in the garden, do some yoga or keep going with your Joe Wicks workouts.
- Read or share a story and practise your sounds and tricky words.
- Don't forget to add to your daily diary - these will be lovely to read when we go back to school.
- Be good and listen to your grown-ups

For English today I would like you to focus on your phonics.

Can you watch alphablocks - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROKNNvuGpEo

Can you write down all the words you spot using the different ways of making the ‘ai’ sound? (ay, ai, a_e) Remember to add dots and dashes.

Can you write three sentences using the words ‘play’ ‘sail’ & ‘game’?  Make your sentences even longer by using conjunctions and adjectives!
Y2: I would like you to do the above and if you have a SATs reading buster book at home can you complete one of these? (do NOT worry about timing yourself, but do mark it using the answers with the help of a grown-up).

For Maths can you chant count in 2s, 5s and 10s? How far did you get?

Let's do the counting robot! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-cARYvdtB4
Following this, I have set you all some added extras for you to do on Doodle Maths which focus on counting in 2s 5s and 10s.
See if you can write out your 2x, 5x and 10x tables as number sentences i.e. 1x2=2... 2x2=4

In the afternoon we are going to start looking at how Christians celebrate Easter for RE.

I would like you to watch the videos on this page https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/watch/lets-celebrate-easter
Then I have set a 'to do' on Purple Mash where you can decorate your own Easter egg. Feel free to do this on Purple Mash or if you are feeling extra creative maybe you could create one using a different art medium like paint, collage, pastels, chalk etc. I can't wait to see these.

Only a few more days and then it will be time for a nice break from home learning (for you grown-ups too) as it will be the Easter holidays.

Keep up the good work and stay safe.
