Hello Fox Class,
Great work with your Easter research and thank you for all the lovely paint projects to look at. Here is your work for Thursday. You can complete these in any order but try to get everything done.
-Revise patterns (Year 2) and shapes (Year 3) with your ‘Added Extra’ on Doodle Maths.
-Year 2-write the 3x table in your Homework book up to 12x3= (hint: count in 3s)
-Complete the ‘X a day’ or ‘New this Week’ task on Doodle Maths.
-Year 3-work through Section 2 Test 10 Part C questions 6-10 of your I Can Do Maths booklet.
-Read or listen to chapter 18 of Fantastic Mr Fox with an adult or older brother or sister. Ask them to help you with tricky words. Then complete all 3 activities below in your Homework book.
-Copy the picture of the farmers on page 81 and write their names (you may need to go back to the beginning to check which farmer is Boggis, Bunce and Bean).
-Write a thought bubble for each farmer to show what they might be thinking or how they might be feeling.
-Write the answer to this question: Do you think this is a good or bad ending to the story? Why?
-As we were enjoying learning all about the platypus in school this term, today your challenge is to learn how to draw a platypus using this online tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sh4tuPGsFk&t=185s
-Ask your parents to share your finished picture by emailing it to me at email@example.com or uploading it to the PTA Facebook page.
Other ideas to keep your bodies and brains active:
-Complete Joe Wicks’s workout https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1
-Practise your ball skills in the garden with some throwing, catching, rolling, bouncing and kicking or play a ball game with someone.
-Get musical and do some singing! You can carry on practising a song from Young Voices or learn a new platypus song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGhCil7_Ga8
Keep up the hard work and have a great day.
