Hello Fox Class,

I was very impressed with your habitat postcards on Purple Mash today and how much you have remembered about what these places are like.  Some of you even did more than 1 postcard! I will leave this activity as a 2Do for the rest of the week in case any of you want to complete extra ones in your spare time.  Here is your work for Wednesday. You can complete these in any order but try to get everything done.

Maths:

-Revise shapes with your ‘Added Extra’ on Doodle Maths. (Some of you have activities from Monday and Tuesday to finish so you will need to get through these before you can access the new ‘Added Extra’.  Try not to let these build up too much as you may be locked out of other parts of Doodle Maths).

-Complete the ‘X a day’ or ‘New this Week’ task on Doodle Maths.

-Year 2-write the 5x table in your Homework book up to 12x5=.

-Year 3-work through Section 2 Test 10 Part C questions 1-5 of your I Can Do Maths booklet (we will send the answers to you on Friday to mark).

English:

-Read or listen to chapter 17 of Fantastic Mr Fox with an adult or older brother or sister.  Ask them to help you with tricky words. It’s quite a long chapter so you might want to split this into shorter parts, especially if you find the reading difficult.

-Then, complete the activities below in your Homework book.  Everyone should complete the first activity. If you want to challenge yourself more, have a go at the second and third activities as well.

-Write a short summary of the main events in this chapter.  Aim to only write 5 sentences.

-BONUS: List all the characters/objects in the dining room (use pages 74 & 75).

-BONUS: Draw a map to show Mr Fox’s new underground village (use page 79).

RE:

-Login to Purple Mash and go to your 2Dos.

-Start with the Easter Research activity. You need to select Easter pictures for the top 3 boxes by clicking on the green + button and dragging them into the purple box.

-Write about why this item reminds us Easter in the boxes below.

-Remember to save your work and press the purple ‘Hand In’ button at the end so I can see your work.

-BONUS: Decorate the Simnel Cake in your 2Dos and use Google to find out why Simnel Cake is a symbol of Easter.

Other ideas to keep your bodies and brains active:

-Complete Joe Wicks’s workout https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1

-Have a dance using Go Noodle https://family.gonoodle.com/

-Help out in the kitchen with cooking, baking or preparing a meal or snacks.

Have a lovely day and be good!
