Dear Badger Class Parents,
Firstly, thank you to those of you who have managed to upload photographs of the children’s work. It is so nice to see how well they are doing. I am really pleased with how many of you were able to source equipment for the Science investigation!
Below is a letter to the Badgers explaining the work that I expect them to do tomorrow (Thursday).
They have been given new spellings (see below) and I have also set them a 2Do on Purple Mash which tests them on last week’s spellings. There were 3 children that were unable to do this last week; could you let me know if there’s an issue with accessibility and I’ll try to help.
They will also need to carry on with White Rose Maths (Lesson 4.) These are on the school website.
I Can Do Maths: once the children have completed and checked their test for the week you might choose to mark it today as it’s a Bank Holiday tomorrow.
Big Write is attached. I am asking them to write a non-chronological report about the creature in the film clip last week, Marshmallows. I think they might need your help to go through the activities before they begin their own report. As guidance, Big Write at school takes up all of the morning so there is no need to rush. Short breaks will be needed, however to maintain engagement!
Mrs Bailey and I have also suggested some daily expectations such as reading regularly and some staying active ideas should you need them. They are on the letter to the children. There are also some VE activities on the school website.
Don’t forget also, to have a listen to Mrs Bailey and me reading The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe on our YouTube channel. Again, the links are on the website under Home Learning/Badger /Lion, Witch and Wardrobe.
Please don’t hesitate to email me via the school office with any queries, concerns or achievements. Thanks for all your hard work; your children are amazing.
Have a great Bank Holiday and weekend.
Very best regards,
