Dear Badger Class Parents,

As usual, I have written to the children also. (See below).

In summary, Friday’s lessons include:

  • Science

If possible, the children would benefit from having hands-on experience of looking and dissecting a flower to really understand the parts of the flower and their functions which is today’s learning objective. Obviously, care will need to be taken when handling flowers especially with regards to pollen which can stain.

    There are three attachments:

  1. The lesson itself is within the edited PowerPoint which includes hyperlinks to a short film clip. I would suggest going through this with the children is ideal but not essential.

  2. There is a Word document that the children will need to record their learning on.

  3. If a real flower is not available I have attached a paper version for dissection.

    • Marking I Can Do Maths and going over any questions that caused difficulties. They will need your help with this. (Mark schemes on school website)

    • White Rose Maths Challenge (see White Rose, Home Learning Day 5 challenges)

    • Our daily expectations.

Have a great weekend.

Very best wishes,

Lisa Tunstall
